Internal tools. SaaS platforms. iOS apps. Built by your web team.
Websites are still most of what we do. But when a business needs software rather than a site, we build that too. Same stack, same security standard, same people.
Same Team, Wider Scope
We didn't stop building websites.
We started building what sits behind them.
Websites are still the majority of what Shadowtek does, and that is not changing. Astro builds and WordPress sites remain the core of the business.
What changed is what clients started asking for. A quoting system that talks to their scheduling. A dashboard that pulls numbers out of four different tools. A customer portal. An app. Requests a website genuinely cannot answer, no matter how well it is built.
For years the answer was to refer that work elsewhere. Now we build it ourselves, on the same stack and behind the same security standard as everything else we run.
Three kinds of software.
One team behind all of them.
Whether it runs inside your business, sells to customers, or lives on a phone, it is built by the same people who already look after your website.
Internal Business Apps
The tool your business actually runs on, instead of six spreadsheets and someone's memory. Job tracking, quoting, scheduling, inventory, approvals, client portals, and dashboards that pull your real numbers into one place.
Built around your process, not a template
SaaS Products
A product you can sell, not a project that stalls. User accounts, subscription billing, multi-tenant architecture, and an admin side that lets you actually run it. Built to launch, then built to grow.
From idea to paying customers
iOS Apps
Native iOS apps, submitted and shipped to the App Store. Subscription and credit-based monetisation wired in properly, so the payment side works from day one rather than being bolted on later.
On the App Store, not stuck in review
Plenty of projects are more than one of these. A SaaS product usually needs a marketing site, a web app, and eventually an iOS app. We build the whole thing rather than handing you between three suppliers.
We didn't read about this.
We shipped our own product.
Flipsellr is a Shadowtek product. It is all three services on this page, built and shipped by the same team you would be hiring.
Marketing site
Static Astro build on Cloudflare. Fast, no attack surface, the same standard we hold client sites to.
Web application
React and TypeScript app with user accounts, real product logic, and an admin side behind it.
iOS app
Native iOS build taken through Apple's review process and shipped to the App Store.
Credit-based monetisation
Purchasing, entitlements, and billing wired across web and mobile so the money side works properly.
Every decision on your project comes from having made the same decisions with our own money on the line. We know where these builds get expensive, because we have paid for it ourselves.
How It Works
Nobody quotes custom software honestly
without scoping it first.
A number given before anyone understands the problem is a guess. Guesses are how software projects end up double the price and six months late. So we scope properly, then quote a fixed price.
01
Discovery Sprint
Half a day mapping what the software has to do, who uses it, and what it connects to. You get a written spec and a fixed price.
02
Build
Built to the agreed spec at the agreed price, with working software to look at as it progresses rather than a status report at the end.
03
Launch & Support
Deployed on infrastructure we already run, with ongoing support agreed before launch. Software needs maintenance the same way a website does.
Discovery Sprint
Credited in full against your build
- A working session to map what the software actually needs to do
- Written technical specification you own and keep
- Recommended architecture, stack, and infrastructure
- Fixed-price quote to build it, no estimates that move later
- An honest recommendation, including when the answer is that you do not need this
If you proceed with the build, the full $1,440 comes off your first invoice. If you don't, you keep the specification and the quote and you're free to take them anywhere.
Prices in AUD. Build cost is quoted per project after discovery.
The Stack
Boring technology, chosen on purpose.
We build on the same stack we run our own products and our clients' sites on. Not whatever is trending. Software you cannot hire anyone else to maintain is a liability, not an asset.
React & TypeScript
The most hireable front-end stack in the world. Your next developer already knows it.
Astro
Static marketing sites that load instantly and give attackers nothing to work with.
Cloudflare
Workers, D1, R2 and KV. Global by default, with our hardening standard in front of it.
Native iOS
Built for the platform, with subscription and credit billing wired in from the start.
Everything we build sits behind the same Cloudflare security standard as the websites we manage. Security is not a phase at the end of the project. It is how the thing is built.
